As introduced here. These are the second generation of the cluster LED heatsink for MagLite, specifically designed for the usage of emitter. This eliminate one less thermal junction, therefore keeping your LED die cooler and brighter.

These heatsinks can be used in both Tri-Emitter or Quad-Emitter configuration.

Shouldn't the place where the emitter has to come be higher than the other part of the heatsink? So you can solder the emitters to a pcb while the emitter heatsink makes contact to the PES2. On the pictures it looks like this 'touching pad' is lower than the rest.

And will Cree XR-E's also fit?

Will the Cree XRE on stars with McR19 reflectors fit on the copper version? If so, I want one! If not, any plans for a copper XRE Mag D heat sink?

I think one is for C-size mag and one for D-size.

I'd like to get:

Guys, my HD @ home went bye bye. I will be spending sometime this weekend fixing it. I'll try to get all the order out by Monday.

I also corrected the first post ordering option. Those who already order. I know what you mean. No need to change/confirm.

Erasmus: The circular indentation is for the Luxeon emitter to sit in. These are not designed for Cree. The XR-E requires a shoulder & recess combo to make them thermally sink properly.

Kryosphinx: Those four symmetrical little holes are where you plugin your pliers and twist. This help the mount of the heatsink to Mag head from the top side.

BentHeadTX: Cree XR-E star will not work with these. What you're looking for is the PXR series heatsink (available in couple weeks). And yes they will be available in copper.

flex76italy: Erasmus is right on. It was my mistake. Here's how to decode the model number.

PES2-C-Cu
PES - model name in this case Emitter Sink
2 - indicate 2nd generation heatsink, contains the threaded portion and E-Can
C - indicate for which Mag size, MagC in this case.
Cu - indicate special material, copper instead of standard aluminum.

These are to be used as Tri or Quad emitter. If you're looking for single emitter then its the O-sink/Hotlip/DHS stuff. Too little lumen output for my growing thirst
