Nichia's answer to Cree XR-E?

I don't know whether this is old news or not but I just discovered this:

It claims Nichia has two new products, a low powered device: 138lm/w at 20mA and a high powered device: 106lm at 350mA and 402lm at 2A.

I can't wait for these to appear on the market.

I can only believe it when I see it. This does not go just for Nichia, I mean any LED manufacturer.

Its interesting and I've heard others say Nichia has made huge breakthroughs in the lumens per watt area, but we got to see it to beleave it, and mass production is different that a single lab test. However they are a killer company and the article seems to have a few details and not just some heresay info. what I'd heard on another site was they had developed 100 lumens a watt - that was about six months ago.


btw: For the love of mary......when is Fenix going to make a 400 Lumen P1-Nichia were ready to buy already, geezzshhh.
