anyone know if LRI's next batch of Protons will have improved battery contacts and better thermal management for example? i read the reviews thread and can't find any info. on what, if any, improvements will be made for the the next batch due out in january. i do plan on buying one as its a great setup for me (single AA, multiple levels) but it would be really nice to know if any of the user issues were addressed.

They said the products are being fulfilled to the new production run where all the problems are solved. I expect better contacts, but that it won't run any cooler to the touch (which doesn't necessarily mean bad thermal management).
