Night Ize IQ + Night Ize drop in =anoying humm!

So today I got a Night Ize IQ and Night Ize drop in and they make an insanely annoying hum, I am not sure which one its from, but when used together its really annoying in a quiet room. Do I have a faulty part? Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? As of right now I will retrun the IQ to frys and get something else this weekend enless theres a fix.

I have not noticed any noise from my similar set-up, nor remember this complaint from anyone else. I'd bet you have a bad IQ switch. People have reported varying problems with them. My first one had to go back because of bad ill fitting threads.

Well do to the reduced output and the noise, If I have to return it I will just put the $ toward something else.

IIRC, that's the inductor "humming"; lots of other lights do it as well. Whether it bugs people or not may depend on a combination of one's hearing and the actual loudness of the humming.
