What light is best for my dad?

Hello. My dad has a modified mag with a 3W that runs on 3 D cells. He said he loves it and would like another that is brighter? He would like a little smaller but even brighter. I was thinking of 4C cell version.

So my question is what light that runs on 2D or 4C would be the brightest? It must run on alkaline because he is not up for rechargables. But if it being rechargable was the only thing standing in the way then that would not stop me.

I looked at the stinger led. Its rated at 80 lumens. The mag mod he currently has is brighter than that.

I think I am going to close this thread and post to buy a EL 3X3K2 light.

I second the incan idea. Have a look at the incan lights from Wolf Eyes. Specially the 6A and 6M, they are small and very bright. You can run either rechargeables or primaries.

You absolutely sure you want to stick with alkies? That makes smaller and brighter options much harder to find.

There are so many nice options running off li-ions these days. A Pila GL3 will smoke your dad's setup, hands down. I use mine nightly (15-20 minutes at a time), and top off the batteries every 2 weeks or so.
