    Help Inova T3 + RCR123A

First, can the T3 use Rechargeable CR123s? Second, will the beam be way less powerful with RCR123s compared to standard CR123s?

The circuit can not handle the extra voltage of the 4.2v cells. You might be able to use the regulated 3v cells, or some of those that AW sells that use the new chemistry and are around 3.2 volts.

Alternatively you could use a 17670, which unfortunately won't be quite full brightness nor run in regulation, but will not risk damage to the circuit.

We've used our 3.0V protected RCR123A without any problems in the T3. Output is similar to primary CR123A's, runtime is down about 40% with the 900mah RCR123A's.

    Thxs for the info!

This post should actually be dead...

Just after I made this I went to BatteryJunction and bought a Streamlight ProPolymer Luxeon. I don't think I am a fan of 123s at this point in time.
