Of course it will work! I haven't been too impressed with the G90 lamps though. They don't seem as white and bright as my Surefire lamps.

Yes, your G2 will be fully rechargeable. I might consider replacing the lens with a pyrex one though.

The G90 in that setup is whiter and brighter than the standard P60 and gives the P61 a run for its money.

The SF lamps have slighter smoother beam patterns though.

If you wanted to get be even cheaper, you could just buy the charger and one 17670 Rechargeable battery from lighthound. This should be able to run your 6V bulb, however you would be giving up some brightness.

but that will make my G2 rechargeable which is what i'm really looking for.

I use a SF P90 in my G2 and use the AW charger with a pair of protected cells. Works great.

The brightness of my G90 is MUCH better than my P60. I just prefer the whiter P90. I do like being able to adjust the beam of the G90 to my liking. The P90 has a very oval beam that takes some getting used to.

I still think the P90 is a bit brighter than the G90. I have the HP version as well.

The best thing to do is to buy several lamps (P90, G90, Digilight, Wolf Eyes D26) and see which one you like. I find myself switching between them every so often. Once you go rechargeable you will find yourself using the light much more!
