I watched that the other day from PK's web site. Awsome....

Its quite an honour to see behind the scenes, not every company with military contacts would show behind their doors.

I was really pleased to see a machine shop in the video, and not rows upon rows of mass production automated CNC machines. I bet there there for the established product runs, but at least some work is still done by the good old hands on approach.

I suppose its easier to give a prototype spec to a machenist to turn by hand than to programme a machine to do the job for you. I have little experience with metal fabrication, any one know better??

Yes the laser is very speedy, better finish that a vibrating etcher!!!

I was a bit worried when I saw the couple of old lathes and just one guy turning a job. (I assume the prototype area?)
Then I saw rows of CNC lathes and was a bit happier
