So I just put fresh Battery Station primaries in my X0 last week. Yesterday at work (HVAC) I was having a particularly awful day. Anyway, I dropped my X0 about 3 feet onto a carpeted floor. I was shocked to see it immediately go dark. I turned it off, then back on. It was dim at first, then faded out.
Since it was so sudden, I figured I somehow damaged the circuit. I was a little mad since I thought it should have been tougher than that. So when I got home I was going to call Inova service. I figured they'd ask me if I tried different batteries I put some in to cut them off at the pass. Well, when I fired the light, it came on full brightness. I was pleased and surprised at the same time.
The moral of the story is that somehow the fall shorted, not the light, but one or both of the cells. I wasn't aware that could even happen, but sure enough...
