Yesterday morning, five people were killed in a
bank robbery only about a half an hour from my front door. They captured three of the robbers,
but one man still remains at large. They also wou-
nded one woman, who has been realeased from the
hospital.

This is the deadliest bank robbery in about ten years and a great tragedy for all the people in
norfolk Ne. I just want to say that my sympathy
goes out to all family members of the victims, and
I hope the perpetrators of this terrible deed
get the maximum sentence!

And earlier in the week, two or three people were killed when an almost 2000 foot TV tower they were working on came down.

I'm wondering if they were adding the digital TV antenna. If so, this is one of many of these accidents I think we'll see as the stations rush to get DTV on the air--it's already past some of the FCC scheduled milestones.

Scratch "sad day", and change it to "sad week".

BTW as an aside to this, one of my neighbors had
a heart attack and died last saturday, and my
Mother, and I had the (dis)pleasure of finding
the body in his front yard. Yeah, it has been a
wierd week! Did I mention the Elk that I saw?

It always blows my mind that people still do bank robberys, the most money they will get is like $100,000 and between four of them thats like twentyfive thousand each. Knowing these people they will probably **** the money away on worthless things. Bank robberies are considered federal offenses so every LEO in the state if not the country is on the look out for these brain surgens. They couldn't just take the money and go, they had to go and murder five people for absolutely no reason.

It really scared me when something similar happened in NYC at a fast food resturant, i guess no longer can we be passive during a bank robbery, just like we can no longer be passive during a plane hyjacking.

This is a horrible crime and i can't imagine what the what the victims families are feeling right now. I hope they get the maximum sentence possible.
Sorry for ranting, but my family owns retail stores where a lot of cash is present and the chance of being robbed at gunpoint is always in the back of our minds. This is why it get me so angry when gun control advicates have to run their mouths about how new gun laws will save lives, obviously gun control did not work in this instance and in a lot of other instances around the country.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I hear ya' SPECIALIST! If even one of those
innocent people in the bank had been armed, instead of the ccriminals, things might have turned out much differently. It is a case of
some politician trying to "prevent crime" when all
they are doing is disarming the good guys. Do
they think that the criminals are going to stop
carrying weapons just because it is illegal, I DON'T THINK SO! Anyway, there was a state trooper
who pulled over one of the perps before the robbery, and arrested him for a stolen weapon, but mis-typed the serial of the piece into the
computer thus showing it as rightfully his, so the guy was realeased. The officer was so overcome with greif that he shot himself yesterday. It has been a sad week, and keeps getting sadder.
