Just curious why, on several of the 24W HIDS I'm interested in, like the MicroFires K2000R and the Wolf Eyes 24W Boxer, there's a quick hit tactical button on the tail cap??.....
I'm new to the high end flashlight/searchlight HID game, but from reading posts and threads here in CPF, I thought I had learned it's not advisable to turn an HID unit on and off like that.....So why the button on the tail cap of these HID units?? Other that a quick turn on, the advantage of having that button would sort of be a moot point, but that's just me
thinking.
I guess my question is, for the sake of saving the expensive bulbs on these fine HID lights, what is the advisable amount of time that should be waited before turning the light back on after shut down, and I'm fairly sure that frequent and numerous on and off cycles will surely hurt the life span of the bulb.......
