Hello
I'm asking for an advice.
My idea to mod a Nuwai LuxV light. Normally it uses 2xCR123 cells. I want to bore out the body to fit 1x18650 cell and change the LuxV against to a Cree.
It has a driver (unknown) and I measured at the LuxV on High level: 6,3 V and on Low:4,86 V with 1xRCR 123 cell.
With 2xCR123 I measured on High: 6,53V and on Low: 4,91 V.Don't mesaured at Medium level.
So with a Cree the vf is between about 3,2 and 3,8 Volts (I doesn't have one at hands yet). Do you have any idea, to limit the Voltage going to the Led, perhaps with a resistor in front of the Led?
I'm anxious for the answers. Thank you very much and
best regards
