Has anyone tried this combination in a mini mag AA. What is the throw like. I dont expect it to throw as well as an aspherical lens.

I have tried Cree and modded IMS 17, 20, 27
There is barely a difference between, except for the 27 giving a tighter spot
The 20 is the one easiest to mod.
All three show an ugly light "ring" halfways in the spill section (I think this is a reflection that comes from the metal part around the emitter).

How does the IMS20 compare to the McR20? I have a KL1-R head that would be awesome if a Cree could be mounted in it...
