So I am thinking of constructing my own headlamp, similar to this.
-Two Luxeon K2 star emitters (rated 120 lumens @ 1000ma)
-BuckPuck 1000ma current regulator
-Four 18650 protected Li-ion cells
Basically, I plan on connecting the two stars in series to LED+/- of the BuckPuck, which will draw 1000mA of current at ~6.8v. A 5kohm potentiometer will be attached to Ctrl/Ref to allow for dimming, and Vin/Vout will be connected to the 18650 cells which will also be in series, producing ~14.8v. Some sort of switch will be connected to break the Vin connection to kill the circuit. The only thing I am curious about is if the L2 3° Spot Base Module For Luxeon K2 LEDs works on the K2 star, because the picture looks like it's mounted on a lone emitter.
Any suggestions?
