I've got a UX0K emitter coming to replace the UW0K emitter I recently put in my L1 (too purple for me). But I got to thinking, anyone try a cree in there yet? I wonder what the optics would do to the beam.
Anyone put a cree in a L1 yet?

I'd try another W0 before going to an X0. If your W0 has a purple tint it is either on the VERY edge of the bin or mis-binned. I have several W0's and all of them are a very nice slightly warm color. IMHO you must have gotten a bad one.
