Hi everyone,

I was lucky enough to get a playstation 3 20gb model.

The power cord is missing and it looks like the cord off of a computer power supply will fit.
Can anyone here with a ps3 tell me if it is the same?

I have called Playstation and they won't send out a replacement until I fax a copy of receipts and then when it does ship 2 or 3 days later it will ship ups ground. I will be lucky to have it before the end of the year. Which really sucks considering how much these things cost.

I have kids waiting for this thing Christmas morning.

Please help.

Man that is a bummer,

I think it would be safe to use any Powercord that fits since it is only a hookup between your outlet and your PS3.

IF there were a Powersupply attached to the cable you would be out of luck, but as far as i know the PS3 only uses a regular Power cord.

See bottom picture here:

At your own risk ofcource, but i would give it a shot :)

Benny

'straya, mate!
It's a standard IEC socket.

Plug away my friend! a standard computer power cable will work.
