Dewalt 18Volt

hey all,

has anyone thought of modding a Dewalt 18V Light?

there has to be a lot of potential there ...18Volts and lots of Amps.

i'd be very interested i a crazy mod for this light!

I think about 1.6A~2.2A there ? Nice for a multi-lux setup with great capabilities... Go ahead, would like to see it happen !

Wow, that was/is a nice mod !
The led-load was 3+ watts,
with current Luxeon or Cree emitters, you could run the unit
at anything from only 350 to 700mAh without collaminator and have a nice flood...

Just try hooking up a Cree on your bench and turn off all the lights...

nice mod..... but is there anyone that is interested in doing some sort of Hot Wire mod on this light?

Plastic housing, plastic lens, plastic reflector, plastic head, plastic bulb holder - no real incan potential above 10w where plastic starts to melt.
If it were metal in the right places you could try a PR - Bi Pin adapter and a 12v 100w IRC but with all that plastic there's not much you can do safely
