Have you checked out the Spiderfire in the dealer section?

It is a 3 watt CR123 light that comes with a 2-AA extension tube. The light and add-ons are only $29.95. I bought one, and it is a nice light for the price. You could kill two birds with one stone. (Assuming that you wouldn't mind another flashlight.)
