My guess would be no but I don't know for sure.

The page says it's "2 mode", maybe the ring is for high and low, Or maybe by 2 mode they mean on and off !

Maybe they can sell it to easger spouses or people thinking its the high powered light that your reciepient has been raving about only to find out its not. But if the body is the same as the U2 maybe we won't have to bore any bodies out.
