Anyone know what light this is?

Hi, at girlfriends and showed her my new P1D CE and she showed me light her dad bought for her and siblings. It was bought cheap at hardware store at checkout lane in a bin without packaging. It has multiple 5 mm led's with a laser light in center (dog is going crazy). Runs on 3 aaa's in a carrier. Just curious what it is since I normally can identify lights. It probably is chinese light. It of course is bluish light, but decent for nonflashaholic girlfriend used to cheap 2d lights. Thanks Below are 2 pics of it.

I have one and got it at the checkout of ace hardware. Decent light but I kept draining the batteries because once I clicked the leds off I was unaware of the fact that the laser cycles on. Its kinda hard to see in a well lit room. I tore it apart and plan to mod it someday.

Would you think nimh's would work ok in this light?

Should be no problems running NiMh batts in there. Guilt free lumnes as they say.
