What Driver board for homebrew mod?

I just received a Sam's Element 3w for Christmas and I know how much most of you don't like them because they are such cheap lights but this one happens to be quite the Luxeon Lottery winner. It's a TW0J (though I don't know that much about what that means) that seems to actively compete against my Brinkmann Maxfire LX with new batteries on both.

My question is what kind of regulation board could I mod in there (I'm planning better heatsinking) to give me constant output at or near the stock output on this thing?

I am planning on eventually switching over to NiMH for the batteries (once I buy a large amount of them for the kids toys). Also can anyone point me to where I might find some nice metal reflectors for this for further down the road? I think I can find some decent AR glass lenses if I dig through my bookmarks. Thanks!

Nobody has any ideas to offer me? I thought for sure someone would know of a decent driver board for a mere single level light.
