I dont' understand why they made the KL3 head the size that they did. It seems like it would have been alot easier to use the same size bezel as the standard bezel - 1.25". Anyone else find this puzzling?

The current KL3 had initially a different optic with a much narrower beam - to archieve this, it is necessary for the optic to have a large diameter.
Todays KL3, with the wider beam, cannot justify the huge dimensions, considering the beam is about the same as the KL1's.
