Fenix P1D CE with a tail

One problem I have had with my Fenix P1D CE is that the little bugger is short and wants to pop out of my hand. Also it's hard to operate the twist head one-handed.

My solution was too add a lanyard (cobra stitch) as a tail. It makes the light sit more comfortably and securely in my hand, and it gives me just enough added "grip" (read resistance to rotation) to twist the light on and off with one hand. Success!

Maybe I'll try a shorter and slightly fatter tail next.

Anyone else have this problem?

What the... Braiding? What is this, Home Ec class? Oh wait... you called it a "cobra stitch"... hehe... That has got to be the most macho name for a braid ever! :nana:

This thread made me think of a scene from Napoleon Dynamite:
Deb: "Would you like some boondoggle keychains? A must for this season's fashion."
Napoleon: "I already made like infinity of those at scout camp"

Just kidding though... I can see how that would be useful :D I just can't pass up an opportunity to poke fun... :poke:

Lexina, what is a Lobster Claw?

It's the free key-chain attachment that came with the light - at least that's what I have read others call it!
