Hi.

I just bought a set of USB speakers, they come with no-software as they are plug and play.

I only have the default XP sound option, volume and balance.

I am looking for a free DSP plug-in for "Windows media player" so that i can adjust the sound output.

you know an equalizer with a choice of preset sound EG, voice, rock, jazz and the like.

any help is appreciated.

thankyou.

Does it have to be a plugin for WMP or will another media player software do too? If so you might want to check out either

a) Winamp giving you lots of options (including equalizer w presets) in a nice graphical UI

or

b) the wonderful foobar2000 media player (maybe add columns UI), which' sleak, slim UI is much sweeter than Winamp's, but only once you put some learning effort into it. And, oh: It is not colorful.

Another thing: This image (sorry menus are in german, but the position should be the same in the english version)

shows where you can activate the equalizer that comes with wmp. Maybe you don't even need additional software?
