Terralux K2 drop-in over 3xCR123A...

I am trying to find out if the Terralux K2 drop in for the C/D Maglites can be run on 3 CR123A batteries. I love the 2 C form factor and I am hoping to be able to run an LED without the themal circuitry that the MagLED drop-ins have.

Matt, I have asked the same question. I think the answer is yes OK for 3X123. I know the Diamond is not OK because when you read the fine print it says use dummy cells...but the TerraLux does not seem to have the same note....so should be a true 9v setup. Anyway, I plan to call TerraLux and ask this question before I order.

I would be keen to get the K2 drop-in for my 2C if it can run on 2 of Aw's soon-to-be-released C-sized LiIons. Should be able to get some very decent run-time!

Just talked with LED Replacement. They say the new TerraLux K2 is regulated and OK for 9V....should be OK for 3X123. They have a large order backlog, but I plan to place my order in the next few days.
