The SSC P4 U bin is 91 to 118.5 lms
The Cree XR-E Q2 bin is 87.4-93.9 lms
at 350mA
For modding i guess there wont much difference as the SSC P4 isnt the exact size of a Luxeon, read that in an earlier post womewhere. So neither will be a direct swap for a Luxeon.

Nominally the SSC U bin - apart from the theoretically higher output, and being rated at 1A, optics for it should be more readily available (I'm still working on the principle it will be a straight swap for a SSC P3, if not a Luxeon). However given the test results I've seen here, I'm not so sure. I think I'll be getting some of both!

Cree seems to be the more robust and works to specs, no tint issues, no blue shift..
The SSC may improve, but right now its got major problems.
