Hello guys, I'm very new to these forums, but I am a torch hoarder. I've already ordered a Fenix P1D-CE, so this is probably a bit late to ask. There doesn't look to be a lot of metal around the attachment point for the lobster claw, it looks a little vulnerable. Does anyone know of this point getting damaged at all? I intend to hang it from my keys.

Thanks guys,

Mike

I don't think that you need to worry. The metal around the hole is about 1mm thick. This doesn't seem like much but it is supposed to be *very* tough. I use my P1D CE on a keychain with the lobster claw and I honestly believe that the claw will break before the Fenix

I would qualify mine as tight, but loose enough that I can easily turn the light on with one hand. This is quite a subjective matter but I do believe that some threads are looser than others. You can check this poll out. Apparently you're more likely to have tight threads if you got the natural-colored P1D CE.
