What is exactly like a surefire G2 but uses an LED?

I love the clickie tail and feel of the G2, I'd just prefer a cree LED or something at least 80 lumens. I would prefer 2 a123 batteries since 1 cell ones are too short for this purpose.

I'm sure something Cree will be along pretty soon, but for now there are some LUXIII drop ins available from at least two sources.

Someone else will have to say whicjh ones, as my brain's hard drive is pretty full!!!

The G2 has a clickie? Maybe the KL3 bezel will suit you? You just unscrew the G2 bezel and remove the lamp, then put the KL3 bezel in its place.

Powerful LED lights are usually not made of plastic, for heat dissipation reasons. With incan lights, they can use plastic because most of the waste heat exits through the lens as infrared. LED lights have to conduct the waste heat away through the flashlight body, which means heat-conductive metals like aluminum.
