Do you see the modes? L1D/L2D? low/med/high/SOS or you can twist the head to Turbo mode for turbo/strobe. I like that. You can chose to start at either low or turbo. Man, looks like I'll be buying more lights.

L2D CE is a surprise.

The Fenix L2D CE is a digitally-controlled, constant-current multilevel flashlight. It has six levels of output, which not only allows the user to select the best compromise between brightness and runtime for any given task, but also has the ability to aid in an emergency. The L1D CE does all this and still retains a very compact size. If you're looking for solid reliability, digitally regulated brightness, and compact size, this Fenix is for you.

Mode changing: Fully press to switch on, turn the bezel to select the General Mode or the Turbo Mode. A soft-press anytime while the light is on will change the brightness level.

  • Water-resistant
  • Cree 7090 XR-E LED
  • Push-button tail cap switch
  • Two modes by rotating the bezel
  • Turbo Mode: 135 lumens -> Strobe
  • General Mode: 9 lumens -> 40 lumens -> 80 lumens -> SOS
  • Runtimes: 2.4hrs @ 135lm, 4hrs @ 80lm, 10.5hrs @ 40lm, 55hrs @ 9lm
  • Nylon Holster, Lanyard, 2 spare O-rings and switch cap included
  • Two 1.2V - 1.5V AA (Alkaline, Ni-MH, Lithium) batteries (not included)
  • Aircraft-grade aluminum with hard anodized finish
  • Toughened ultra clear glass lens with AR coating
  • Digitally Regulated for Constant Brightness
  • 56-gram weight (excluding batteries)
  • Dimensions: 147mm x 21mm Diam.

Bezel plus digital clickie control ... Fenix did it again! Thanks for the info LA OZ. I couldn't hold out for these and bought the P1D CE. It is such a great light. I can't believe how much light comes out of it. But it makes me want more Cree. Must buy .... both.

The twin mode is exactly what I want, 135 lumen right at the start! Fenix finally did it right, now let's all hope our exsisting 123 body would work on these :grouphug:

Honestly, they shouldn't have charged the P1D-CE for 70 bucks to begin with, given the fact that he production cost of P1D-CE was supposed to be lower than the P1D :sssh:. Now let's see the $49.95 price tag for the L1D-CE on 4sevens' web site :naughty:

We'll have to wait still a bit more...

Looks like they did an excellent job with the L2D CE.

135 Lumens available makes it a winner. Hope it has a good beam.

Looks nice enough for me to finally want to make a post! Hello everyone.

I'm hoping for good results when dropping a 14500 L-Ion into the L1D CE. At least thats what my tired brain is thinking at 3am.
The L2 also looks like a nice piece of work.
I have a feeling that if the crees agree with the LxD reflectors we'll have a real hot item.

Fenix is breaking the $50 barrier. It started with the P1D-CE and now these. I would NOT buy them at such prices.
