Lighthound 3W dropin LED won't work on G2

I just got a Lighthound dropin 3 watt LED which replaces the stock LA. It was intended for my G2, but I can't get it to light in my G2. It works fine in my 6P and my C2. Could the problem be because the body og te G2 is not metal?

Put a piece of foil paper to make ground contact and it will work.

there should be a ring that is recessed in the LA... take that out and drop it in your G2 to make contact...

I actually tried te ring option and it still wouldn't light...but the foil did the trick.

Doesn't the 3 watt LED get too hot in a G2? Are there problems with running a 3 watt LED in a G2?
