So I ordered another Seoul Cree to put in my KL3 head and I decided to get a McR38mm Joker reflector. I would've got the regular version but they were out. So I got this one to fool around with. Now the Joker version is meant to work with a Luxeon that sits lower in the housing than the regular ones, right? So it should work fine with a Seoul since that sits lower already, correct? Also, the description for the Joker reflector says the rear slug portion of the emitter should be between .095 and .105" ( say .10" ) behind the rear plane of the reflector. So if I use some copper disc to adjust the height to that level, it should work. Waddya think?

Maybe you would get better responses in the "Homemade and Modified" forum.

Hmmm. The P4 sits lower, but it has a similar radiation pattern as the high-dome Luxeons, so with the right focusing, it should work great. Keep us updated. Such a big reflector on with the P4 would be amazing! Maybe once you get them in, take some beam shots. Good luck!
