Ive been looking into getting a led drop-in for my surefire G2. I know there are Cree drop-in's, but im more interested in the 3 watt luxeon's. The ones im looking at are the BOG G&P 3w and the Wolf-eyes 3w. Ive read on flashlight reviews that the wolf-eyes led doesnt work well in polymer body flashlights. They say that after about 2 min it goes to half power and stays there for the remainder of the time because of the thermal limiter. Im wondering if the G&P 3w has the same problems? They dont mention having any problems on flashlightreviews, but im not sure what flashlight this was tested in. Thanks:grin2:

Get the BOG for plastic bodied (G2) lights, it comes with a ring that makes contact properly.

To those who have the G&P, do they work with 17670's. Any reduced output?

PS What Cree dropins are there for the G2?

If you go into the "Dealer's Corner" and look for a thread by LITEmania, there's a Cree dropin that fits the G2. (I'd put a link if I were sure it was alowed.)
