the emitter dome,do you clean it, with what?

is there like a special gas in there...anyone ever cut theres off see if its brighter without it

anyway are you suppose to clean this dome every once in a while ,if so then with what , wet tissue ,isopropyl alcohol is it safe?

? You mean the plastic dome that protects the LED and holds the thing together? Its an acrylic polymer I beliefe I think that a glasses micro fiber clothe would be best. Keep it dry alcohol could crack it if its acrylic.

I can tell you from unfortunate personal experience that even fairly low percent alcohol will cause the dome of a Luxeon to crack. I usually just use a lense tissue, maybe with a little water if necessary.

the ones with hard domes a q-tip and water will work...as for the jelly domes I just blast it with canned air
