My question is in regards to O ring and thread temperatures, and how that effects the type of lubricant used. Take say a P1D CE, which will get very warm on high for extended periods, which is expected. What would be the high end temp of the O ring and threads in degrees running the light for extended periods, and will that high temp effect the lubricant to any degree?

Or maybe better put, what temp range does the P1D CE run at on high?

If you are worried that your P1D-CE will burn an O-ring you shouldn't be leaving it on that long without some type of heatsinking be it your hand or a clip on sink.

Yes I hear ya. No, I don't leave my P1D-CE on that long. I had inquired about an O ring & thread lube with Teflon and and was asked what temperature the lube would be exposed to. I didn't know so I went to the pro's........
