Hello Guys:

I am a newbie here and have tried getting the lens out of a surefire weapons light head that uses the P60 lamp and I'm just to stupid to figure it out. I figure this has probably been discussed before so could someone please point me to a tutorial on this? I'd also like to get the lens out of my 6P. I'm going to get several of these type III anodized and that would be a bad idea with the lens in the light. also if someone has a link to a Sapphire replacement lens for these two lights.

Thanks,
Richard

surefire

bezel screw side on a firm ground, lens facing upwards

take a screw driver if u wish to trash the old lens, hammer it hard

or a wooden small pole if u wish to keep it in one piece, push it downwards

get it?

Use a set of needle nose plyers or a set of snap ring removers using the best fitting inserts.
Always has workd for me:)

I thought the lens was forced in there. I can see pushing the 6p lens out but the shock isolated bezel has a couple of aluminum rings in there? any pics would sure help. Can a sapphire lens be used, I don't see how?

Dang these things are driving me nuts.
