I'm selling two Aleph-ES cans both with Seoul leds from Fred (Photonfanatic) and CREE P4. The Leds will not be shimmed by 0.03" (0.77mm) so the reflector needs to be cut by that much...or get the Seoul compatible reflectors from the shoppe. I have done the very same thing and put it into a Aleph 2 (27mm) head and it works great. The only caveat is that you need to put a metal ring ( I used a solder wire ring) to make up for the height difference so the battery tube can make contact with the CAN providing the ground.

Choices of converters is the Flupic V2.2 or Piglet @ 50ma-500ma CC

Price of the Flupic option is now $100 and the price of the Piglet is now $110. This includes shipping to anywhere.

Cheers!

I understand the flupic; is the piglet a two level, and how does it work?

The piglet is two stage, buck boost fixed at 50-500ma and operates the same way as the flupic.

Do you have any detailed info on the piglet? I've searched but cannot seem to find anything...

I'm looking for min/max Voltage in and Voltage out...does it provide low voltage protection for LiOn's? etc

Thanks!

The piglet is a Buck/Boost controller so it will take around 2.4V to 5.5V.

It does have low voltage protection. It will blink (as a side effect of the buck/boost controller) and it is very efficient with li-ions. Max Vout is around 5.15 V or something like that but you won't be needing that for Crees and Seouls.

Thanks for the info...I was wondering if it would drive a Lux V...so looks like no.

Does the piglet have other configurations? I am thinking about 50ma and 1 amp, Can it run on 2 lithium 123's?

Thanks!

You can do, 50ma, 800ma if you run li-ion only. No, 1 li-ion only. 5.5V is max. If you want two, 17650 is a good choice =D
