K2 Voltage ???

I´m currently looking for some hosts for Cree-stars, and just got an email from Kyle at dealextreme where he stated that the K2-flashlight on his site were made with stars open and ready for replacement. Is it possible to swap the K2 for a Cree? Do both emittors work at 3.3 Volts???
I know the LuxV is a 6Volt, but how about the K2??

I never heard of a K2 on a Star but the K2, Cree, and Seoul will all work with the same electronics.

it may not... if it is one of those chinese 6v with just a small resistor (no electronics) you might push way to much current...
