It's in the "rumor" stage.

As far as I know, Emillion has not actually acknowledged it's going to be made. It's kind of a general understanding that it will be, but there hasn't been any announcement or anything.

Based on how bad people are jumping on him and badmouthing JetBeam for delays in the Cree twisty, I think it's probably better that he just keep his mouth shut until he's ready to ship them.

i think the C-LE was something like a starter in restaurant until waiting for the right torch.

LOL :D

I kind of felt like this myself, especially due to the "appetizing" price. However, judging by the reviews trickling in, the C-LE may be a venerable torch in it's own right. Sure, it's geared to a more casual audience since it can only take up to 1.5-1.7 volts (its been a long time since we've seen a torch with this restriction), but as long as that doesn't bother you, it seems well made, bright, has nice beam quality, and is considerably more compact than the other highpower 1AA lights out there. There hasn't been a multimode twisty AA on the market yet- a year or two ago, no one would balk at paying 5 times the price of this light for comparable quality and feature set. I plan on EDCing mine as soon as it arrives do to the smaller size.

I do agree that clickies are more mode-change friendly and I love my MKII. I very much look forward to seeing what the MKIIx has to offer.

Currently, they are selling around $52 in China, or 400 RMB.
Probably going to cost more in USA or any other country.
Since this light still uses PWM like Jet C-Le, don't think I wanna get one.
(already ordered 3 Jet C-Le from 2 different GBs)
Rexlight REX2.0 CREE flashlight seems a much better bargain.

Right it is about CNY 400 now in China but that is only for people who had bought lights from that seller, and after the Chinese New Year the price will change to about $60.:grin2:

And about the brightness, you know, JETBeam always overruns the LEDs a little in the max output mode, so it can get a higher output. But it is suggested not to run your light at that condition for long.

so the "JETBeam JET-I MK-II X" will be a reality 'early Feb 2007'?

the 150+ lumens is from running rechargables at 4.2V rite? <- size like normal AA batteries?

is the 'flash' -> strobe mode?

Does any kind souls have any pix of the above?

ATM I'd be hesitant to get into another Jetbeam Groupbuy. I'm still waiting to see how the current one turns out after all the delays. But, the specs look nice I must admit.

And FYI for those wondering...
There have been a few mentions of the Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year) around CPF in various threads about chinese lights lately.

The New Year in 2007 is on February 18th. Find more info on wiki:

Why do I want to pay $60 for MKII X if I can get the Rexlight Rex2.0 for only $30? Not to forget that Rex 2.0 is free shipping and with no PWM. :grin2:

I'm sorry I used a wrong word...yes my "flash" means strobe.

Here in my place MK.II X will be available after a few days.

And 150 lumens is from running 4.2V Li-ion batteries.

The look is just as the same as MK-II.

4.2V is within the spec rate, it can work well at 0.7V~4.2V.

I think that the first bunch of Rex Lights will be ~$30 delivered because so many will be ordered from the factory for the first batch. I'm guessing after the first run, the price will creep up.

Nobody's actually seen anything from Rexlight yet either, so we don't know about fit, finish, quality, runtime, any of that stuff.

JetBeam, on the other hand, has been proven to be a GREAT product with excellent ratings in all of the above-mentioned categories.

It's going to be exciting over the next couple of months, when these all actually come out and we get to compare. Right now, it's all talk, except for the Fenix which I should be getting today. :grin2:

Thanks for the info Fineday.
