Thinking of doing some more experimenting with my KL3. I noticed that the XREs' have a much better tint than the SSCs'. Do you have to raise them up with the spacers like the SSCs', or can you just plop them in there?

I agree with the better tint on the XR-E. I usually don't shim my XR-E LEDs unless the reflector is really far away. The best reflectors for the XR-E are the narrow deep reflectors. The Dorcy 3D reflector is the best example.

Well I'll be using the optic with the KL3, I want to try to produce a tight thrower.
