LedEngin LEDs? New product 1/5

Never heard of these guys before, but have been reading the forum for quite some time.

They have 10w and 15w single LEDs listed on their site that put out lumens in the hundreds.

Boy, a 15w 450 lumen LED light would be nice!

Anyone have any more info or samples? or Mods using these chips?

The 10W has 4 dice in series for a fairly high (for flashlights) Vf of 14.8V.

I noticed the relatively high vf for the chips. I wouldn't think it would be a problem, considering the widespread use of converter boards.

Hopefully we'll see some amazing flashlights and mods based on this chip.

Well but around 28 lumen/Watt for the highest 15W device isn´t what I call state of the art.
What we need is a four die emitter based on the latest cree die..

You can alreay buy this(about $55): 20W Emitter with star: Typ 700 Lumen!!!

- Nominal current: 1120mA
- Voltage: Typ 18,5V DC

- Light angle: 120 degree
