If you like to protect your flashlights, especially the bezel and lens you might try a beam cover. Trouble is there are not that many available especially for the many size lights.
At a local Sporting goods store the other day I found Blizzard Scope Covers for rifle scopes. They range in diameter from 1" to 2.5" in eleven increments. I grabbed size number four and it fits my U2 perfectly! It has a clear flip open lens that you could probably "frost" with steel wool to make a beamshaper.
Do a web search for them, lots of resellers.

Hope this helps!

I recently found a red plastic cap that's the perfect size for my Arc LSL. Fits very tightly and works well as a red light filter. I think it would give pretty good protection if I was to drop it (perish the thought).

I don't need to protect my lights... My lights protect me! LOL, anyone seen the SF ad with the flashlight that stopped a bullet?
