Since the KL1 has both buck/boost, I'm wondering if the SSC could survive in the KL1. I don't see why not, but I'm no expert which is why I'm asking. I also need to figure out what the output numbers would be. On 1 cell I think the KL1 runs at 350mah, and on 2 cells I think it runs at 500 or 550, not sure. Anyone know? With a Mcr20 reflector, that would make a killer little light! Waddya think?

Re: Seoul in a KL1 head. What would happen?

Isolate the slug from the metal body of the light and it will survive just fine.

I'm curious, why did you think it might not?

I did this, Did the reflector mod too. The output is easily brighter then my HD45, the heat sink is anodized so that helps in isolation. The stock driver is awesome, and this mod is fantastic. Ill take a beam shot later if anyone wants to see it against my M-180.

Wow! Looks like I may have to try this! May have to sell my C2/Seoul modded KL3 combo for this... I've got to try to find a black KL1 first...
