Obviously, LEDs don't show you what color light they produce when they're not lit up. How can you tell what color Photon you are selecting if it's one of several on a keychain, without first turning it on?
I took one of those "super knives"--in this case, one made by Gerber--that take disposable razors, and I cut V-shaped notches in the left-side curve between the LED and the side bulge on each of my Photon Micro Lights.
My personal choice was one deep notch for Blue, two for White, and three for Red.
Now, without looking, I can run my fingernail into the area where the notches are and quickly tell which light I'm going to get. This also works visually.
Have any of you done something similar?
