Well, not totally dead, but really really dim. I picked up a new Fenix P1 (just a P1, not P1D or CE) a couple months ago. Just this past weekend, it was shining bright, then it went real dim suddenly. I'm guessing about 1 or 2 lumens. My P1D CE on low totally blows it away now. I tried new SureFire 123 batteries, and it does the same. I put the batteries in my P1D CE, and it runs fine, so it is not the batteries.

This is a new P1! Why it it running extremely dim like this?

Open the end, remove the battery, and fill with Chlorox for 5 minutes to clean. Then rinse and let dry.

Nah, it sounds like the driver went, and it's just getting 1.5V. Warranty.

Bad joke.
It uses at least a 3V battery.
