18650 Aleph & E-series compatible bodies (They're Done!!!)

Introducing a new battery tube for use with 18650 Lithium Ion cells and Surefire E-series and Aleph lights. These bodies will not require any contact bridge but will require a magnet or built up LE contact, at least until 18650's come with button tops.

Edit: These bodies will also work with 2x CR123A and 2x RCR123A batteries!

The first run will be single 18650 bodies. 2 and 3 cell versions are in the works but will come down the road a little.

Price will be $70 for Hard Anodized Natural or Black.

These bodies have gone through a few changes recently but here are the final designs. One will have a "collar" on the tail end and the other won't.

Re: 18650 E-series bodies coming soon.

At long last, a 18650 body without the need of a spacer

Good Job MM, cant wait to see the finished product.

would the knurling follow the style of the aleph body, or TB style? or even arc or SF style?
Also, would this be available in both HA black and HA nat?

Looking good :D

Until the protected 18650's are manufactured with a button top, you will still have to provide a contact spacer.

I'll probably take one in basic black.

Come to think of it Guys if you would let me know what your color preference is here in the thread. It'll help so I know how many of each to do.

Re: 18650 E-series bodies coming soon. (PICS)

thanks for the answer MM

TB, yeah, but what i meant by spacer is the usual a thick spacer, not the contact magnet/metal.

I will likely take one, in HA NAT. Depending on the final price, I might get two :D

I assume Orings will come with the pack, yes?
cant wait to see how the knurling gonna come up as.
Any possibility of a clip? or maybe tritium slot? Sorry with the many questions, but I am excited :D

One more question and most important for me,

this pack WILL screw into the surefire E series bezel, right?

But of course.

Yep. You can certainly drill and tap holes for one in the tail cap end.

or maybe tritium slot?

Also a possibility in the tail cap end.

No problem. I'm excited too. :)

Absolutely. E-series and Aleph heads and tail caps.

I'd be interested. At least one in black, one in NAT, and a bare one (or a SF GM finish if at all possible).

Will you also be making adapters so that these will fit C/Z/P and KT heads? That would make this a very, very popular tube. I personally think that the thicker tube mates a bit better with the C/Z/P tailcaps, many E series tailcaps look very small on the thicker tubes. TB did a very popular run of these a while back. I have a bare TB tube with an E series GM tailcap and FM's 3.7V bulb in a GM head, its a great little light.

If you are interested in making an adapter to fit the larger heads onto these tubes, then I would love to have a 3x18650 tube in black...
