Fenix condom for your keychain: Necessary! new photo

I Like my new Fenix LOD-CE a lot and I don't want to see him hurt.
So I made a condom of heatshrink to protect him from my nasty keys.
I know it isn't a showoff anymore but it will still blind you

I'm looking for a more elegant solution myself. For now, I guess I have to find another pocket to carry my light in.

Have to move it, it was messing up my cell phone!

I now it is pretty underneath (that also why my girlfriend is not running around naked al the time)
btw you can slide it of quite easily

To me that looks hideous, and I would rather throw away a severely scratched light, than have something like that anywhere near me. It looks like you are carrying around a tampon on your keychain.

I won't go quite that far, but I also prefer a well-used light with "character marks" on it over such protection.

Maybe in black it will look better. :shrug:

I dont put any light in my pocket that i would be honked off if i scratched. I keep an old solitaire on my keychain. And a Q3 in my car.

-you are afraid the keys would scratch your light

as a flashaholic you should know better than to do something like this...you should ELIMINATE THE KEYS!

say toss the keys into a separate pocket or make a condom sheath for the keys

I was going to also recommend a clear heatshrink, the ultra clear variety is very hard, and thin.

Unfortunately that stuff will also trap some of the heat in the light instead of letting it escape into the air. Be careful that you don't get the light too hot.

The condom looks 1000x worse than a scratched up flashlight. You are better off without it. If you have to be anal about having a perfect flashlight, buy another one and put one on the shelf
