Ostar 1000+ lumens led

i read this press release about "one" led producing 1000+ lumens.

did anybody hear more about this? especially dimensions etc...?

looking at the picture on there site it seems that has 6 smaller led's in it

its a multichip light so it is going to be HUGE

Hmmmm, :thinking:

And.. The new standard on efficiency they claim?? 75 lumens/watt has already been broken by other brands !!

We are waiting for new standards on surface brightness, combining led-chips is not going to do that !! It only causes artifacts in beampatterns !!

well our experience with the osrams is simply not that great. First the large number of dies makes it pretty much impossible to get a tight beam with normal optics/reflectors. Second the dies on one LED tend to have different color tints... which REALLY sucks...
