I picked up an LED MR-16 bulb on eBay. 2 watt, 48 LEDs, 12 volt DC. When it came I saw that they'd neglected to mark which pin was positive and which negative. Turns out it makes no difference, it lights either way. All the LEDs. The bulb is too well sealed to open without destroying it. Can anyone explain how they came up with an unpolarized LED bulb??

They probably put a bridge rectifier in, that way it would be workable off either 12V DC or 12V AC (lots of track light fixtures are just run on 10:1 stepdown transformers).
