I'm listening to the Fellowship of the Rings Rifftrax, and one of Kevin's riffs was rather amusing....

the Fellowship is walking through the Mines by the light from Gandalf's staff, Kevin's riff....

"Yep, Gandalf's prepared, he's the only one who brought a flashlight...."

If you have a cable modem or good DSL, ShoutCast TV (via Winamp) usually has MST3K running a stream of the old shows.

http://www.shoutcast.com/

You have to download the Winamp player and open the Media Library (ML Button), and click on ShoutCast TV to find it.

This thread sparked my interest in watching some old episodes of MST3K. I doubted that they were fellow flashaholics, but I just finished episode 1004 "Future War". It has at least 4 flashlight references with the main idiot shining a maglite into his face!

And there was the movie where the spacemen were trapped in some underground empire. They could fight off the bad guys with a flashlight.

That resulted in a nice flashlight related host segment.
