Elly + Cree questions

I am sitting here staring at my Elly and the Cree I recieved from DE and before I start the swap I needed to ask..

Unsolder, remove screws, solder in Cree, screw it down, turn it on?

Is life that simple and why did I not order more. Where can I get a new lens and has anyone bead blasted one yet?

Don't forget to connect neg to one screw too, to ground to neg on battery via casing.
